My name is Thomas Lansing and my purpose here is to provide straightforward information related to solar systems in and around Idaho. It can be a lot of work to confidently buy a solar system and I hope to make it a little easier for people.

My History

  • As an installer: I led teams to install solar arrays for about 95 homes and 5 businesses.
  • As a salesman: I conducted hundreds of site assessments in Idaho and a handful in Oregon, Washington, and Utah.
  • As a researcher: I built a predictive model for discovering houses that would be a good match for solar panels.
  • As a product designer: I work to characterize and solve the problems shared by solar customers and solar providers.
